Adobe Photoshop: Now Accessible on Browser – No Installation Required!

Great news for creatives! Adobe Photoshop can now be accessed from any computer with an internet connection, even if you don’t have the software installed. This exciting development was confirmed by Adobe’s Vice President, Pam Clark, in a blog post on September 28.
Previously, in December 2021, Adobe introduced an online version of Photoshop, primarily for viewing and sharing Photoshop PSD files. However, at that time, users needed to have Photoshop already installed on their computers. Now, this requirement has been eliminated.
The beta version of online Photoshop is feature-packed, offering almost all the tools you need for photo editing. In addition to the familiar web interface, there’s a new, user-friendly interface, making photo editing accessible to both seasoned users and newcomers.

Even more impressive is that this web version of Photoshop integrates two powerful artificial intelligence tools: Generative AI and AI Expand. These tools allow you to add or remove content from images and expand them effortlessly. You can seamlessly open files in the locally installed Photoshop software while working on your images.
The web version also includes the ‘Contextual Taskbar,’ an on-screen menu guiding the following steps during image editing, boosting your work efficiency.
While this online version offers a wide range of capabilities, some popular features like the patch tool, pen tool, bright object, and polygonal lasso have yet to be available in the web version. But don’t worry; Adobe has hinted that these features are coming soon, so stay tuned!
