On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the two parties announced a total blockade of roads, railways, and waterways across the country. Several job exams have been postponed in these three days. As a result, job seekers are worried.
Job seekers in the capital city staged protests in front of various examination centers, expressing their discontent with the sudden postponement of today’s scheduled recruitment examination for two positions within the Department of Women Affairs without prior notice or announcement.
The Three-Day Exam Postponed by BAPEX Scheduled:
The oral examination for 11 positions at the Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) has been postponed. These examinations were initially planned for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The affected positions include Foreman, Headman, Laboratory Technician, Mud Supervisor, Overshear, AC Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Crane Operator, Derrickman, Machinist, and Mechanic. The institution’s notification stated that the rescheduled examination dates for these positions will be announced at a later time.
The Three-Day Test by The Power Grid Postponed :

Power grids are essential for supplying electricity reliably and efficiently over large geographic areas.
The Practical Test/Field Test, Physical Qualification, Experience, and Interview-related tests scheduled for the position of Technical Assistant at the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited have been postponed. The postponement of these examinations for the Technical Assistant post is due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, as per the institution’s notification. The institution will announce the new examination date at a later time.
The One-Day Examination by the Minimum Wage Board Adjourned :
A wage board, also known as a wage-fixation board or pay commission, is a government-appointed body or committee responsible for determining and recommending wage rates, salary structures, and related employment terms and conditions for specific industries or sectors.
The examination scheduled for November 2 for the positions of Process Server and Office Assistant at the Minimum Wage Board under the Ministry of Labor and Employment has been postponed. The new examination schedule will be made available on the board’s website.
Livestock Research Institute :
The Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute has postponed the written examination for the positions of Assistant Accounts Officer and Health Assistant, initially scheduled for November 2. The new examination date will be announced at a later time.
Department of Architecture Exam Postponed
The Department of Architecture has decided to postpone its three-day oral examination. Information regarding the rescheduled oral examination will be communicated at a later date, as per the notification provided by the department.
As per the notification, the oral examination initially scheduled for October 31, November 1, and November 2 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, respectively) for candidates who passed the written examination in the Directorate of Architecture has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. The rescheduled date, venue, and time for the postponed oral examination will be communicated later on the Department of Architecture’s website and official Facebook page.

On October 28, specific job tests were postponed due to simultaneous rallies organized by the BNP and the Awami League, which were being held for their respective causes.
